Mending Our Mistakes would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Arkansas Restorative Initiative for their encouragement and support during our early stages of development. Through their commitment to restorative practices and community healing, they have helped foster important conversations about how Arkansas can move beyond punitive systems toward solutions rooted in accountability, dignity, and restoration. We are grateful for the ways they have amplified our work and encouraged innovative thinking as we seek to strengthen families across our state.
We are especially grateful for the encouragement and amplification provided by Celina Hale and Arkansas Restorative Initiative during MOM's formative stages. Their willingness to share our vision with others reminded us that collaboration, not competition, is what creates lasting change.
Thank you for using your voice to help others discover ours.
When Mending Our Mistakes was still little more than an idea carried by equal parts conviction and uncertainty, Celina Hale chose to encourage it.
In the nonprofit world, it can be easy to guard territory, protect platforms, and view every new voice as competition. Celina chose a different path. She shared our work. She celebrated our progress. She used her own voice to help others discover ours.
Through Arkansas Restorative Initiative, Celina has dedicated herself to advancing restorative approaches that recognize the humanity and potential within every person. Her willingness to uplift the efforts of others reflects the very values restoration requires: generosity, collaboration, humility, and hope.
As Mending Our Mistakes has grown, her encouragement has reminded me that meaningful change is not built by one organization working alone. It is built by people who recognize that the work is bigger than any one of us and who choose to stand beside one another in pursuit of something better.
Thank you for believing there was room for another seat at the table.
Thank you for reminding us that collaboration is stronger than competition.
Thank you for helping amplify a vision that was still finding its footing.
Your kindness, encouragement, and willingness to share the spotlight have meant more than you may ever know.
With sincere gratitude,
