Parental Restoration is a structured, accountability-based intervention model designed to help noncustodial parents overcome the barriers that keep them separated from their children.
Unlike systems that simply issue orders, we provide the infrastructure, the housing, transportation, and legal navigation, necessary to follow them. We don't just tell parents to "be stable"; we walk with them as they build stability from the ground up.
For many, the "Canyon of Custody Loss" isn't caused by a lack of love, but a lack of resources.
The Trap: You are told to visit, but have no car. You are told to pay support, but have no job. You are told to provide a home, but have no deposit.
The Result: One missed step leads to a legal setback, which leads to shame, which leads to disconnection.
We serve parents who are ready to do the work but are overwhelmed by the barriers. This includes:
Parents with supervised visitation orders they cannot afford to fulfill.
Noncustodial parents facing "poverty-based" barriers (no license, no home, no job).
Fathers and mothers re-entering the community after incarceration.
Families caught in high-conflict cycles where the children are losing contact with a parent.
We don't just "vouch" for parents; we provide data-driven evidence of change. We document:
Attendance: Consistency in visitation and classes.
Financial Growth: Record of child support payments and workforce milestones.
Communication: Coaching on healthy, child-centered interaction.
Stability: Verified housing and transportation logs.
Children don't just need "a parent"—they need a stable parent. Research shows that children with two healthy, involved parents have better emotional, academic, and financial outcomes. By mending the mistakes of the past, we are securing the future of the child.
It is a common misconception that all struggling families are in the "foster care system."
DHS Reunification: Focused on cases of abuse or neglect where the state has taken custody. Parents are often provided with a court-appointed attorney and a state-mandated plan.
Parental Restoration: Designed for private custody disputes and family instability. These parents are often navigating the system alone, without a caseworker or a roadmap. We fill the gap for the "in-between" families who need support before a crisis becomes a permanent separation.
